Users

The Laboratory provides its services to:

  • patients admitted to the nursing home;
  • external patients belonging to the Nursing Center of the Nursing Home itself;
  • patients in Integrated Home Care (A.D.I);
  • patients of municipal clinics managed by staff of the Villa Gemma Nursing Home;
  • patients of residential facilities for the elderly (RSA);
  • patients of protected facilities.

Laboratory Activities

At the laboratory it is possible to perform a wide range of laboratory tests, performed on site or sent in service to accredited reference structures, privately or in agreement with the National Health Service (S.S.N.). The activity is aimed at providing the Attending Physician, through analyzes performed on biological samples of different origin (blood, urine, feces, secreted biological liquids, etc.), useful information for:

  • diagnosis;
  • control of therapy and course;
  • the care and the monitoring of the patient’s health status;
  • prevention

ACCEPTANCE

In order to be able to carry out analyzes under an agreement, it is essential to present yourself at the acceptance desk with a regular order compiled, in all its parts, by the doctor.

The ticket paid by the patient will be related to the tests prescribed according to the rates of the N.S.S. If the patient is entitled to exemption for diseases, pregnancy, income or age, the doctor must insert the exemption code in the appropriate box.

PAYMENT

The payment of the ticket takes place upon acceptance, however, if microbiological or special tests are also required, payment can be made upon collection of the reports. In addition to cash, it can also be paid by debit and credit cards.
